We are fortunate enough to have a 2nd home on Lake Norman, North Carolina. It’s about a 6 hour 45 minute drive from Pittsburgh where we live. We try to make it to the lake about 10-12 times a year. It is a fun place to visit and live!

Lake Norman is a man-made lake not far from uptown Charlotte NC. There are so man There are so many cool bars/ restaurants on the lake. Most of the restaurants have just a few boat slips but, you can usually find a spot if you time it right. Weekends are crazy busy on the lake. Most of the places have outdoor seating and bars with misters to help with the heat & to hang out while you wait for a table

NORTH HARBOR CLUB: is our favorite with amazing seafood. Its more upscale but boating attire welcome. The mango bang shrimp are stellar!

THE BLUE PARROT GRILL: This is our go to spot for lunch! They are dog friendly, have an extensive frozen drink menu and great food! My favorite is their shrimp tacos!

The LANDING at the Lake Norman Motel. Its more of a relaxed atmosphere with entertainment and comfort food. They are known for their baby back ribs. Ahhhmazing!! Get here by boat or car.

PORT CITY CLUB; is a super hip spot on the lake. Waterfront eatery with outdoor tables great seafood and cocktails. Their lamb

burgers are so good! The espresso martini is a must!

HELLO SAILOR: New ownership and renovation in the last year or so have made this casual lakeside restaurant more unique. They have a great Tiki Bar and outdoor seating. The fries and calabash shrimp are awesome!
